Internet Explorer is the default web browser in Microsoft Windows. It offers reasonable browsing speed, security and user experience.
Windows XP users should upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. 64-bit version is available here.
Windows Vista users should upgrade to Internet Explorer 9. 64-bit version is available here.
Windows 7 users should upgrade to Internet Explorer 11.
Windows 8 users have Internet Explorer 10 (Desktop and Modern UI/Metro versions). Upgrade to version 11 is available only by upgrading to Windows 8.1 (free for existing Windows 8 users).
Windows 8.1 has Internet Explorer 11 (Desktop program and Modern UI app).

Keyboard shortcuts available since Internet Explorer 8:
  • F1 - Display Help
  • F11 - Toggle between full-screen and regular views of the browser window
  • TAB - Move forward through the items on a webpage, the Address bar, or the Favorites bar
  • SHIFT+TAB - Move back through the items on a webpage, the Address bar, or the Favorites bar
  • F7 - Start Caret Browsing
  • ALT+HOME - Go to your home page
  • ALT+RIGHT ARROW - Go to the next page in History
  • ALT+LEFT ARROW or BACKSPACE - Go to the previous page in History
  • SHIFT+F10 - Display a shortcut menu for a link
  • CTRL+TAB or F6 - Move forward through frames and browser elements
  • UP ARROW - Scroll toward the beginning of a document
  • DOWN ARROW - Scroll toward the end of a document
